P&O Cruises P&O Cruises provide elegant cruises to over 90 countries, and pride themselves on the extraordinary experiences that their guests can enjoy on board as well as the delights that await them offshore.

The nice people at P&O Cruises have a large and lovely design department but when they need an extra pair of hands they turn to us because they trust us to do the job beautifully to so-tight-it-hurts deadlines.

The Problem

They needed a gorgeous leaflet dripping with evocative, engaging text and dazzlingly hypnotic pictures to lure unsuspecting passengers to booking a cruise to the sophisticated chicpots of the Western Mediterranean. They needed outstanding copy, help with choosing pictures that sing off the page, and highly skilled artwork to put it all in to place.

What we did

First, we worked with their designers to really understand the design elements that are part of their branding - and with such a global brand there are a lot of design rules!

Then we set our copywriter to work on some luscious text, throwing hibiscus flowers, Mediterranean sunsets and champagne at her to get her in the mood. It worked. Check this out for text that makes you want to emigrate to one of the P&O cruise ships:

And then the challenge of pictures. The test was to select those that showed the true nature of cruising as well as those that touched on the bewildering array of choices - the extraordinary experiences that ordinary people can have, on board and ashore; the nature of the destinations - classical, classy, cosy or cafetastic; the balmy Mediterranean climate - so many aspects. The P&O people loved the pictures we chose.

Lastly, getting it all together to a tight timescale. We called upon one of our utterly skilled artworkers to draw everything together; because of his skill and unerring eye we had the finished brochure designed, printed and packed off in double quick time, to deadline. Without needing a time machine.

Result? Happy clients, more passengers. Lovely.
